The course of human exploration of the universe is as follows:
1957:Satellite No.1-the first man-made satellite into space
On October 4,1957,satellite 1 was launched from the Baikonur space launch site of the Soviet Union and entered the orbit around the earth, becoming the first man-made object to enter space.
1961:dongfang-1-the first time humans entered space
On April 12,1961,Soviet cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin became the first human to enter space. At that time,he flew around the earth in the dongfang-1 manned spacecraft.
1963:Dongfang VI-the first time a woman entered space
Before the female astronauts such as Sally Ryder, may Jamison and Christina Kirk, there was Valentina Tereshkova. The 26 year old Soviet female astronaut became the first woman to visit space on June 16,1963,when she embarked on the three-day mission of the Dongfang 6 manned spacecraft.
1965:mariner IV-the first picture of another planet
On July 14,1965,the mariner 4 spacecraft captured another planet for the first time in its history.
1969:Apollo 11-the first man to land on the moon
On July 20,1969,four days after taking off from Cape Kennedy,Florida,Neil Armstrong took"a small personal step and a big human step",becoming the first human to walk on the moon, which was part of the Apollo 11 mission.
1970:Venus VII-the first spacecraft to land on another planet
The missions to Venus carried out by the Soviet Union have highlighted the dangers of Venus. The first successful landing of Venus 7 on another planet has revealed how harsh the environment of our next door neighbor is.The spacecraft did not stay on the surface of Venus for long-less than an hour, but it sent back a large amount of data for scientists to study carefully.
1970:Apollo 13-brave rescue
Apollo 13 was successfully launched on April 11,1970,but only 56 hours after the mission began, there were twists and turns. After astronauts Jim Lovell,Jack swagger and Fred Hayes communicated with the ground crew through live television for several minutes,an explosion in the spacecraft showed that the crew would not be able to explore the FRA Mauro area on the moon as planned.
1977:Voyager 1-visiting interstellar space
Voyager 1 was launched with its sister Voyager 2 in 1977,but it is still in good condition today.Although Voyager 1's main mission is to explore Jupiter and Saturn-the spacecraft has discovered volcanoes on Jupiter's moons and new details about Saturn's rings, the height and breadth of its exploration activities have exceeded this level.
1986:sts-51-l mission-"disaster of Challenger"
The 25th mission of the U.S.space shuttle program was carried out on January 28,1986,but unfortunately ended just 73 seconds later.
1990:Hubble Space Telescope-peering at stars
The Hubble Space Telescope was the most advanced orbital observation device built at that time.It was launched into the space on April 24,1990.Since then,it has taken stunning pictures of the universe's most distant galaxies, spectacular supernovae and neighboring planets.
1996:Mars Pathfinder mission-let the first Mars rover land on Mars
The Mars Pathfinder left the earth on December 4,1996,but it was not until July 4,1997 that it really deserved its name.At that time, the 23 pound"traveller"Mars rover arrived on Mars, becoming the first Mars rover to reach another planet in history.
1997:"Cassini Huygens"mission-flying around Saturn
After spending an amazing 20 years in space, the Cassini spacecraft and the Huygens probe completed their missions on September 15,2017.
2000:the International Space Station-a vital Laboratory
The first components of the International Space Station--from Russia and the United States--left Earth in the autumn of 1998.The two components were connected together in space, and the other components were gradually added until the first crew arrived on November 2,2000.
2009:Kepler space telescope-Exploring distant celestial bodies
On March 7,2009,the Kepler space telescope lifted off from Cape Canaveral,Florida. The mission is to"explore the structure and diversity of planetary systems".
In 2015,"Falcon 9"landed safely--opening a new era of space flight
In December 2015,the space exploration technology company successfully returned the first stage of the Falcon 9 rocket to the earth.
The significance of human exploration of the universe
Galaxies outside the galaxy can better understand how everything operates in space. At the same time, there are still many unsolved mysteries in the solar system.By observing other galaxies,we may get the answer to our galaxy.
Exploring the universe is a huge project that mankind will definitely experience. If we can find habitable environments beyond light years and link with them,it will permanently broaden our horizons.Just like Columbus on the other side of the Atlantic Ocean sailed to North America to discover the new continent,it has great historical significance.
